Safe Driving Staff Training
At the start of August, our vehicle users took part in a full-day training session focused on refreshing our knowledge of road safety, vehicle care, and best practices when transporting our Elders. The training covered key areas such as current road laws and statistics, safe driving protocols, responding to various on-road scenarios, and how to ensure the wellbeing of Elders during travel.
It was also a fantastic opportunity for team building, as we worked together to strengthen our understanding of ACES policies and procedures. As a fun and engaging part of the training, staff participated in go-karting; a creative way to reinforce focus, following rules, collaboration, and attentive driving in a team environment.
